The broadcast also honored CBS’s iconic theme “Augusta,” written by Dave Loggins in 1981 and updated in 2001 to reflect Tiger Woods’ legacy. Together, Legend’s ballad and Loggins’ classic underscore CBS’s enduring connection to the Masters—where music, tradition, and innovation meet.

For the Landman 3D billboard in Times Square, starring Billy Bob Thornton, our VFX team brought the raw intensity of a Texas oil field to life. Thornton leans out over the crowd as flames and smoke erupt from CG oil rigs behind him—an immersive moment engineered to grab attention from every angle. Creating the illusion of depth and danger in such a compressed urban space required precise fire simulations, atmospheric enhancements, and meticulous compositing. The result? A bold, cinematic spectacle that turns heads and captures the gritty energy of Landman right from the street.
